School Information

Our main focus is on education and we strive to provide the best education in a developmental format.

Developmental means that the children learn through intentional play to reach education al goals. This technique is very age appropriate to the children and helps make learning fun. Our curriculum includes the content standards, which are; language arts, math, science, social studies and we include art and gym (large muscle activities).

As a ministry of TEPC, we are a Christian school. We have non-denominational Bible stories and songs. There is a weekly chapel lesson with "Scrappy," the puppet dog, for the 4's and Pre-K, to help the children learn their Bible stories and verses.

Organization

The Growing Place is sponsored by Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church. It is under the authority of church session. The school board consists of the board President, the school Administrator, a Session member, a school parent representative and other educators.

The school is licensed by the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services and is subject to all the rules and regulations governing childcare and preschools in the State of Ohio.

Ministry Statement

As a ministry of Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church, the Growing Place "exists to glorify God by being imitators of Jesus Christ." We aim to share God's love with children and their families through providing a quality, comprehensive, Christ-focused education.

Parent Involvement

Parents and grandparents are always welcome to observe and join us. We encourage parents to share their talents and experiences with us. There are opportunities to help prepare class projects, plan class parties and help on special days. Parents are also needed to transport for field trips.
